This has been an interesting year in Change Management, and I’ve had many conversations with experienced Changies who, despite their years of experience and deep expertise, have struggled to land roles at the level or rate they know they deserve. 

 

It’s frustrating, I know, especially if you’ve been made redundant and your confidence is already a little tattered, being overlooked feels unfair. 

 

Is it ageism?

Is it salary / rate?

Is it that your skills are no longer relevant?

 

Nope - not at all. 

 

If anything, you are more of an asset today than ever before. 

 

But you’re playing in the wrong market and focusing on the wrong skills. 

 

As AI and automation starts doing more and more of the delivery work for Change Management, you need to be stepping up and packaging your expertise and skills differently.

Your approach, your style, your vibe.

 

Your processes, your tools, your templates. 



As the future of work shifts the kinds of services and solutions businesses will need to adapt and remain competitive in the age of AI, there’s never been a better time to reposition yourself and level up.

 

Because even if you’re not ready to kick off your own consultancy today, you never know what’s around the corner tomorrow.

 

And having the knowledge, tools and mindset to back yourself and set up shop overnight could be the thing that saves you and gives you security and self-assurance if your role or your contract is suddenly taken away.
